What Happens When The Healing Never Comes?

I heard that there are seasons

To laugh and to cry

I struggle with the season

When You lived and You died

It’s hard to play this game

Because the rules, they don’t seem fair

If You care, God if You’re still there […]

Tell me am I too late?

What happens when the healing never comes?

Do we stand and curse the heavens

Or lift our hands and feel the sun

The mystery’s not clear

Just once, Your voice I’d love to hear

What happens when the healing never comes?

I know we love the seasons

Like summer and the spring

But I’ve been stuck in winter

Since the fall of misery

One day I’m full of anger

And the next I’m full of fear

Every year, there’s a new supply of tears

But wait, tell me am I too late?

Is there a chance for me to believe

We would dance together soon?

If there’s a billion galaxies

I’ll count each one ’til I’m with You

They say where You are is better

But I want You here with me

Oh, this is for a purpose

But hurt won’t let me see

So now I must be silent

Your voice is in the winds

The hands that made the heavens

Will heal the storm within

I have so many questions

I don’t know where to begin

Since You were there at the beginning

You already know the end.

I listened to Tori Kelly’s song and I feel like it’s so timely. There’s so many questions but I guess life doesn’t give answer to everything. Too many prayers that haven’t been answered yet either. In times like this, do we gonna stand and curse the heaven or lift our hands and still praise Him?

I pray that your automatic response to every situation was to call to God.

Imagine being like a fragile child who is always looking for her Dad. When she was crying, she’ll call unto Him; when she was afraid, she’d run to Him; when she needs something, she will just call out her Dad and she knows that He, out of His so much love for her, will provide all that she needs.

“The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help.”

– Psalm 34:17

God hears you. He hears everything.

He responds—not always in the way that you want Him to, but always in a way that will make you stronger and wiser.

A muscle grows only when it works against a greater weight. Your character will grow as it struggles with things that seem too much for you.

When you are in distress, ask God to help you learn from the experience. Make the most of the opportunity to give the muscles of your character enough exercise.

We never know how God will answer our prayers, but we can expect that He will get us involved in His plan for the answer. If we are true intercessors, we must be ready to take part in God’s work of behalf of the people of whom we pray.

“In my distress, I cried out to the Lord. Yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from His sanctuary. My cry reached His ears.”

– Psalm 18:6

Let us not be afraid for our God is a place of safety. His grace is sufficient for you; His ways are not our ways and neither are His thoughts. Let’s surrender everything to God, trust Him and obey Him because HIS PLANS ARE HIGHER.

A reminder at this point—Have faith. There’s always rain before a rainbow. Sorrows will last for a night, but Joy surely comes in the morning.

It’s also an opportunity to thank God in advance for what He is about to do. He’s working behind the scenes. Let’s worship while we are waiting.

“ . . . Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine.”

-Isaiah 43:1

You are God’s child and He will take care of you like father, so there’s no need to fear.

We will get through all of these.

Keep safe, everyone!
